I
recently hooked up a SoundBlaster audigy soundcard, installed the software,
and uninstalled my old soundcard through add/remove programs... about every
hour or so my computer will turn off and give me one of a few errors
including
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
or tell win32.sys is messed up
then after I reboot it always tells me there's new hardware that needs to be
installed but says it can't find files to install
when ever I play my mp3 files the singer voices sound like mice. I haven't added any new programs or changed any media config. .My system is a P4 2.1GH,512RAM,win 98SE. I haven't played any mp3's for weeks. I just download a song from a friend who recorded a song and when I played it he sounded like a mouse.
What's up??
am praying someone can give me some sort of an idea what to do here because I am just about at the end of my tether........
I play a game on my computer and all the sound effects work perfectly well.
I then log on to the internet to play the same game in multi-player....when I get into the game all the sound effects suddenly play at a ridiculously accelerated speed.....it's as if I am listening to a 33rpm record at 78rpm. It only happens when I attempt to play the game over the internet.
Recently, my sound started to sound scratchy. At first I thought it was my headset but the scratchiness remained even with my external speakers. I have been unable to find a reason for this. The only thing I can think of is the addition of a new USB 2.0 dual port PCI card. Could this be causing any conflicts that would result in this scratchiness??
I have tried playing with the hardware acceleration setting in the Sound control-panel to no avail.
I just bought a ASUS P4PE Black Pearl MB and P4 2.4 chip.
When I installed the MB, I didn't install any other PCI devices to make sure I did everything right. Soooo, I was using the on board sound for a couple of days to make sure all was well. (sound was fine)
Now, I installed my Sound Blast Live and all was well for one day. (Sound was fine) Now I have NO sound at all! I've tried to re-install the SB drivers and uninstall and re-install the SB Live card, but no luck. (Checked the speakers and wires on another PC and they're OK)
