This is the page for all those checked out downloads that may interest you and ones that we have used ourselves. On a monthly basis we will update this page and add new downloads . We try to ensure they are all freeware products and we will be changing them on a regular basis. To get the downloads click on the TITLE of the program. Always be sure to run a virus check from any file downloaded from source, regardless of what web site it is. Play safe! Please respect the copy write laws in any programs. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL USERS This is the new page that will be made available to you at all times. On a regular basis the programs that are available for download listed here will be changed. New downloads will be put in their place so I can keep adding new programs for use and ones that have been checked and rated. The programs that are listed here, when removed and replaced with new programs, the old list will be placed in their appropriate categories under the freeware listings. AI RoboForm is a secure password manager that can automatically log you into your web accounts with a single click. The program can automatically learn from a new login, just click the a button to save the current login information - the next time you want to access the site, you can do so with a single click. Your stored logins are securely protected by a master password and AES encryption, so there is no need to remember individual password, or to use insecure passwords in order to remember them more easily. In addition to secure password storage and automatic logins, RoboForm also includes an automatic form filler, that uses Artificial Intelligence to populate common form fields (name, address etc.) whenever you encounter a web form to fill. Besides the obvious convenience of one-click logins, the program also adds an additional level of security by restricting password entry to matching sites, and bypassing keylogger captures (sine you don`t have to type the password). RoboForm works with Internet Explorer, AOL/MSN, and Firefox.
Debugbar is a toolbar for Internet Explorer that enables web developers to inspect the content of a web page. It includes a DOM inspector, Javascript inspector, HTTP headers viewer and a HTML validation tool. The toolbar also features a button that lets you send a screenshot of the current site via email, an option to resize the IE window, a color picker and a word highlighter.
Local Website Archive allows you to quickly save and archive a complete (single) web page with all images for later reference. You can organize your archived pages into categories and use the built-in browser display to view them offline. In addition, you can search through all your saved pages by keyword, and also export all or selected items to a self-extracting executable that can be used to send your collections to a friend, or to transfer them to a different computer. The program integrates with Internet Explorer and allows you to save the current page from the IE right-click menu or with a click on the newly added toolbar button. Pro version with additional features also available.
IE Tab for Firefox enables you to load webpages in Internet Explorer, without having to open another browser window. Just click a button on the Firefox toolbar and it will open the current page in a new tab that uses the Internet Explorer engine instead of Firefox. You can also configure certain websites to automatically open in an IE tab, making the process completely transparent. Now you can visit Windows Update without the need to switch browsers. IE Tab also offers context menu integration and supports external applications other than Internet Explorer.
Firefox Showcase is a Firefox add-on that enables you to navigate open tabs as thumbnail views of the actual website. It can run as a sidebar or in a special Showcase tab. You can configure it in various ways, view zoomed versions of the thumbnails on mouseover, close or activate a tab by clicking on the thumbnail and quickly switch between web pages. The program offers flexible configuration options that allow you to customize everything from thumbnail size, mouseover actions and info display to thumbnail labels and mouse actions. Windows Live Messenger is the next generation of MSN Messenger. It supports video chats, phone-to-phone, phone-to-PC calls and conventional text chats with full support for emoticons, font formatting and more. Windows Live Messenger integrates support for Yahoo!, enabling you to chat with your Yahoo! buddies from the same application. Other features include file sharing, SMS messaging, Live Contacts address book and more. This version offers many improvements over the old MSN Messenger, and the video chat produces high quality, full motion video, even in full-screen. Miranda IM
Miranda IM is a multi protocol instant messenger client with support for ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber and other protocols. Miranda is much smaller and not near as resource consuming as ICQ, MSN, AIM etc., yet it offers most of the basic functionality like member search, online status (away,busy etc) as well as import of an existing contacts and more. The following protocols are available as separate downloads on the website: Gadu-Gadu, ICQ Groupware, IRC, Yahoo, Netsend, EmLanProto, Vypress Chat, POP3 & Tlen. There are also more than 170 free plugins available for download.
uTorrent is an easy to use, yet feature packed BitTorrent client, that enables you to download and manage .torrent files from the web. It features global and per-torrent speed limiting, simultaneous downloads, RSS auto-downloading, built-in scheduler, support for Mainline DHT and more. The interface organizes downloads by their status and a tabbed detail pane allows you to monitor download speeds, peers and other details of the active download(s). uTorrent bundles a ton of advanced features into a compact and clean interface that does not require much technical expertise to master. It can be associated with .torrent files and automatically take over whenever you open a torrent. Other features include skin support, file management, proxy support, UPnP port mapping and more. Standalone, no install required.
Azureus is a full-featured BitTorrent client (and tracker) that enables you to download .torrent files from the Internet. It supports upload and download speed limits, advanced seeding rules, UPnP, download resume and plug-ins for additional functionality. The customizable interface allows you to keep track of all your torrents and offers detailed network statistics with real-time graphs. Azureus offers 3 different interface modes, that limit the available settings based on your technical expertise. Other features include an embedded tracker to host your own torrents, user ratings, virtual swarm view, advanced configuration options and much more.
Thunderbird is a full featured email program with built-in junk mail controls, message filters, address book, news groups and more. It offers a clean and easy to use (customizable) interface. Thunderbird also offers security features such as S/MIME, digital signing, message encryption, support for certificates and security devices. Other features include IMAP/POP compatibility, support for HTML mail, labels, quick search, return receipts, LDAP address completion, import tools and more.
McAfee SiteAdvisor is a security add-on for your Internet Explorer browser that helps you identify sites that are linked to spyware, adware, spam, viruses, browser-based attacks, phishing, or online fraud. The SiteAdvisor service is based on a huge database with detailed test results for more than 100,000 pieces of software and covers more than 90% of the world`s Web traffic. The program integrates with search engine results from popular search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN) and also adds an icon to the browser toolbar that indicates whether a site is safe to use, or should be used with caution. If SiteAdvisor has negative information for a site, you can review a very detailed report that shows any spam received from that site, harmful downloads, and association with other sites. An excellent browser add-on, that provides an in-depth site analysis that is based on actual test results, rather than assumptions.
Free Internet Eraser helps you protect your Internet privacy by erasing internet history items and tracks of past computer activities. You can delete cookies, cookies, browser history, visited URLs, typed URLs, Temp folders, Recent Documents and more. The cleaning can optionally be performed automatically when Windows is started or shutdown, or even on a custom schedule. The program offers secure deletion methods, using DOD 5220.22-M clearing and sanitizing standards, so that the deleted data cannot be recovered. In addition, it includes a Startup Manager to enable/disable auto-starting programs, as well as options to customize several IE settings. Free Internet Eraser is a Lite version, and has several additional features disabled.
PeerGuardian 2 is an IP address blocker that can prevent access to thousands of sites. It uses multiple, categorized lists and you can choose which type of site(s) you want to block, including spyware/malware related, advertising related, P2P file sharing related and more. The lists are maintained and updated by a community and you can automatically have the program download the latest lists, and also create your own based on your personal blocking preference. PeerGuardian 2 keeps track of all blocked sites, and you can easily overwrite blocking rules or add new site directly from the log viewer.
EFTP (Encrypted File Transfer Protocol) is a client/server application, that offers the same functionality as standard FTP, but with encryption. It uses a combination of Public Key encryption and Symmetric Key encryption to allow fast and secure transfers over any TCP/IP network, including the Internet. EFTP offers an easy to use graphical interface with user management, user groups, group administration and more. The server can be run as a strictly encrypted server, or like a regular FTP server that allows connections from standard FTP clients as well. A small, standalone client is included with the download, that can be used to initiate a secure connection to EFTP obtain the most secure level of data transfer. EFTP also includes several advanced features like IP restrictions, logging, banned user list and more.
DeepBurner is a CD/DVD burning software that lets you create Data Cds, Bootable CDs, and Audio CDs as well as data DVDs. In addition, it lets you burn ISO files, create ISO images and includes a tool to create and print CD/DVD labels, and also lets you design an auto start menu to launch documents or programs from the CD. The interface is easy to use and organized in several steps and supports drag and drop of files into the burning queue. DeepBurner supports all certified formats for burning, as well as BurnProof and Overburning technologies (if supported by your drive) and should work with all Works with all IDE (Atapi), SCSI, USB and FireWare CDR/W DVD/RAM drives.
ShortKeys Lite is an easy to use macro tool that allows you to instantly replace custom text commands with text macros of your choice. The macros can insert single words, URLs, multi-line text blocks or any other text based information. You can design custom macro keywords, that have a prefix or suffix to distinguish them from regular words. The Lite version can handle up to 35 of these macro commands for free.
PC Inspector File Recovery is a data recovery program with support for FAT 12/16/32 and NTFS file systems. It recovers files with the original time and date stamp, and can optionally restore them to a network drive and can recover many files, even when a header entry is no longer available. On FAT systems, the programs finds partitions automatically, even if the boot sector or FAT has been erased or damaged. PC Inspector File Recovery offers an easy to use interface that will scan your drive and automatically make files that can be recovered available from a "Deleted" folder in an Explorer Style navigation tree.
PC Inspector Smart Recovery is a data recovery program for Flash Card, Smart Media, SONY Memory Stick, IBM Micro Drive, Multimedia Card, Secure Digital Card(SD) or any other data device for digital cameras. It enables you to recover accidentally deleted or formatted pictures, videos or sound files from the selected media. The program also offers a mode that enables you to check the media for errors.
Google Sketchup is an easy-to-use 3D modelling software that enables you to create 3D models of houses, buildings and many other objects, using an array of drag and drop tools and materials in a WYSIWYG editing environment. You can design your objects with rectangles, circles, ovals, arcs, lines and freehand drawings, and use a unique push/pull tool to add dimension to 2D objects. The program offers a library of building material patterns (brick, concrete, wood, glass, carpte etc.) and colors that you can use to add a realistic look to your creation. The finished design can be exported to popular image formats, including JPG, TIF, PNG and BMP, or shared via the Google 3D warehouse. Google Sketchup does not require any 3D experience, but you should read the supplied documentation and tutorials to make full use of the software - an interactive tutorial will explain the basic functionality for each selected tool. There is also a Pro version available, that offers export to 3D and raster formats.
Media Purveyor is an image viewer, and media player that allows you to manage your digital image collections. It supports IPTC, EXIF, JPEG Comment, PNG Key/Values, Dublin Core and ID3 information, and allows you to search for images or media files based on these criteria, and also view and edit image information to organize your files. In addition, the program offers lossless image editing, red-eye removal, color balance (with white balance), text annotations, and various image effects. Media Purveyor can also generate thumbnails, index images, convert images and more. Another small but handy feature is an image comparison option, which allows you to view two selected images side-by-side.
A popular, fast, flexible high-fidelity music player for Windows. Winamp support MP3 and MP2 audio with it s native Nitrane high-performance decoder as well as CD-audio, MOD, S3M, IT, XM and even SID audio formats. Winamp supports more than 10000 interface skins , 300 visualization plug-ins and CDDB for automatic CD audio title listing. You should pay attention during the install, as WinAmp will install several promotional icons (AOl, eMusic), unless they are unchecked from the list during installation.
XVid is a video player for avi (DivX), mpeg, asf and other formats. It supports zooming and full screen viewing, subtitles (transparent and framed), playlist and extended support for keyboard operation.
