Remarkably, some of the very best programs for using the Internet are completely free. Most freeware, even though it's not commercially sold, is copyrighted by the author. MessenPass MessenPass allows you to recover your password(s) from a wide variety of popular Instant Messenger programs, including MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ Lite 4.x/2003, AOL Instant Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger/Netscape 7, Trillian, Miranda and GAIM. Just run the program and it will present you with a list of all accounts found on your PC, including the username and passwords. The list can be exported to HTML or saved as text file. MessenPass can only be used to recover the passwords for the current logged-on user on your local computer. You cannot use it for grabbing the passwords of other users. You can choose to set a different ringtone for different type of callers and automatically zap telemarketers with a special disconnected tone. In addition, the program can play a Do-not-call warning, instructing telemarketers to remove you from their lists. PhoneTray can also reject other types of unwanted calls (blocked number, out of area etc.) by answering and playing a user defined message (some samples included). Another handy features, is the option to keep a log of all incoming calls, which can be filtered by date and type of calls. You need CallerID service, a compatible modem, as well as a phone line connected to your PC. The sound quality is as good or even better than regular phones, and requires no additional equipment, besides a normal PC microphone or headset. The Skype interface is similar to popular instant messenger clients and allows you to create a profile, with optional picture, that will be displayed when you call other Skype users or receive incoming call. You will be taken directly to the download section of the home page   StartPage Guard StartPage Guard (SPG) monitors the status of your web browser StartPage address and prevents it from being changed by any script or program. It also can be used to remove or change unwanted startpage address, even if the change-startpage-button has been disabled. The browser start page is sometimes changed by software installations or web page scripts without the users consent. While it is not a big deal to change it back, it can be an annoyance, especially since you didn't ask for it.
