When
I try to read from the floppy I get a message saying this disk is not
formatted even though there are files on the disk, also even trying to
format the floppy it ends in failure. I have changed the floppy drive and
the cable, still the same problem. My O/S is 98se could it be a software
problem.
I
have a virus on my desktop, and want to reformat the drive. I have a floppy
boot disc, but when I start machine with disc in, it simply boots up, tells
me it has found floppy ok, and then hangs. I have to switch off, take out
disc, switch back on, then the machine just carries on as normal, so I
cannot proceed with format.
Does
anybody have idea how i can get my floppy drive to operate. The message that
is appearing on the screen is "A:/is not accessible, The device is not
not ready". I've looked in the system set-up menu through the control
panel and has informed me that the device is operating properly.
A
little while ago I upgraded to XP from 98SE. I have just noticed the Floppy
drive is not listed in My Computer although it was there in the previous
operating system. How do I recover this?
