(Q1) Question

My CD-ROM has all of a sudden decided to stop recognizing discs when they are inserted. This happened when I was trying to do a back up copy from one disc to another.

(Q2) Question

Can a cd rom be powered up and accessed if the hard drive is faulty?

(Q3) Question

When I insert a cd rom into my drive it does not always run the software from the cd rom. It sometimes takes up to 20 times before it will eventually load up the software. You can hear it trying to recognize the cd rom but then it just fails and says it can not read the table of contents from the disk

(Q4) Question

When I try to use my cd-rom I get this message "an exception OE has occurred at 0028:1cc18207 in VxD---. This was called from 0028:c1828F48 in VxD scsi1hlp(03)+00000508." Has anyone any idea how I can fix this please?

(Q5) Question

My cd rom drive has decided not to
recognise discs. I am told to insert
the disc when I have already done so.

(Q6) Question

I want to install a dvd-rom on my pc.
I have 2 IDE slots on my mother board
slot 1 has my hard drive only connected and slot 2 has both of my cd-roms connected, one master one slave.
Can I connect a dvd-rom along with my hard drive in IDE slot 1, still making the hard drive the master device, and if so how do I configure it on my pc once installed?

(Q7) Question

My CD-ROM seems to work fine but when I try to use a 'set-up' option to install something from a CD the computer doesn't do anything. I can read other options within the CD but it won't run the setup.exe, what could be the problem? The CD works well on other computers
